Pediatric Department V of Infectious Diseases
A diagnosis and treatment of all contemporary contagious diseases and their complications are carried out in the Pediatric Ward V of Infectious Diseases.
Treated diseases:
The ward provides medical care for all children till the age of 18.
In the ward, patients with infectious diseases and their complications are hospitalized and treated , mainly due to:
- neuroinfections: meningitis, encephalitis, cerebellitis, tick-borne diseases (tick-borne encephalitis and Lyme disease);
- food poisoning, viral and bacterial enteritis;
- invasive infections , including meningococcal ;
- childhood rash diseases ;
- zoonoses and parasitic diseases : toxoplasmosis , toxocariasis , yersiniosis , listeriosis ;
- congenital infections: cytomegaly, toxoplasmosis;
- post-vaccination complications;
- chronic hepatitis B and C;
- supervision and prevention against rabies.
