The Department of Rehabilitation and Orthopedics is currently conducting a research projects, which are supported by the statutory funds of the Collegium Medicum of University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. These projects relates to:

1. Epidemiology and pathophysiology of back pain in children and adolescents' growth and maturation.

2. The use of ultrasound examination to assess bone union after fractures and bone maturity in children.

3. Loosening of internal dentures in orthopedic patients - determination of biochemical, genetic and microbiological causes.

Earlier projects:

- The analysis of the children's development resources in early childhood.

- The studies on the autonomous system of the collection and analysis of pressure forces exerted by a Cheneau orthopedic brace.

-        2012 grant founded by Ministry of Science and Higher Education No. N N518 413036 The use of modern measuring and therapeutic devices for the clinical and anthropometric evaluation of postural disorders of children and adolescents with particular regard to idiopathic scoliosis and the analysis of the effectiveness of its treatment methods.
