Lectures:

History of psychiatry. General concepts of psychopathology of adult people.Methods of assesing individual psychic funcions. Tools of assessment. Detailed characteristics of conscioussness disturbances (delirium, oneroid state, confusion). Attention and memory pathophysiology. Particular funcions of working memory and long-lasting memory. Amnesia. Cognitive disorders perception disturbances: hallucinations, illusions. Thinking disorders: delusions. Psychomotor disturbances: external and internal speech. Emotional disturbances: mood disorders, irritability, affect liable and blunted, inappriopriate emotional reactions. Personality disorders (antisocial, schizoid, split personality). Disorders of motivation and decision.

 

Seminars:

Communication skills with mentally ill patients. Psychiatric examination. Psychological disturbances caused by somatic state. Liason psychiatry. The child and adolescent psychiatry-case studies. Eating disorders-case studies. Disturbance of sexual activity-case studies. Sleep disorders-case studies. The regulation of mental health protection.

 

Classes:

Clinical examination of the psychiatric patient (psychiatric interview, history and mental state examination).
Disturbances of consciousness, attention and perception.
Disturbances of thinking, speech, memory and intelligence.
Disturbances of emotions (affect, mood, anxiety).
Motor behavior disturbances.
Psychiatric syndromes
Final test.
