The Student Emergency Medicine Scientific Club at the Departament of Emergency Medicine of the Collegium Medicum of the Unieversity of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn has been operating since November 2011. Currently, it brings together enthusiasts of emergency medicine from among medical students and paramedics educating in Polish and English language.

Students meet regularly during seminars where they present issues of etiology, diagnostics and emergency procedures. Some of the meetings are practical exercises in the field of medical procedures performed in the emergency department. Thanks to cooperation with the Departament of Didactics and Medical Simulation, we participate in medical simulation competitions taking the highest positions - both in local and national. In addition, we also organized student competitions - the first ones held at Simulation Center.

Particular interest among the members of the Scientific Club are medical dutiy hours in the Hospital Clinical Emergency Department under the care and substantive supervision of our mentors - employees of the department and the Department of Emergency Medicine. But this is not the end of practical classes!

One of our goals is to spread knowledge about first aid, which we feel is essential in everyone's life. We conduct trainings for all ages and also professional groups, from preschoolers to researchers.

We are also open to anyone who wants to improve their knowledge and develop scientifically. Members of the Club write scientific papers that they present at national and international symposia.
