Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine is located in the University Hospital in Olsztyn. It has been operating under this name since February 1, 2020. Earlier as Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery was established by the Order No. 44/2013 by the Rector of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn on 20th May 2013 operating under § 17 act 7 and § 37 act 4. with the Resolution No. 224 of the Senate of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn on 17th May 2013 on the opinion of organizational changes at the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
The department is headed by Leszek Gromadziński MD,PhD, prof. UWM - cardiologist.
