History
Students Gynecology and Obstetrics Circle was founded in 2012 at then Department of Gynecology, Gynecological Endocrinology and Obstetrics at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn (in the background of the Act on Higher Education of July 27, 2005 and the Statute of the University of Warmia and Mazury as well as Regulations of the Scientific Circles of the University of Warmia and Mazury).

Nowadays
In 2018, the Circle changed its name into the Scientific Circle of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Medical Faculty of Collegium Medicum (CM) of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn.

The scinetific supervisor of the Circle is: prof. dr hab.n. med. Marcin Jóźwik.
The Chairwoman of the Circle is a student of CM,UWM Mrs. Karolina Cholewa.

The meetings of Scientific Circle of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics take place in the Nicolaus Copernicus Municipal Polyclinical Hospital in Olsztyn (44 Niepodleglosci street)
The members of the Circle may be: students and doctoral students of the Faculty of Medicine of the Collegium Medicum UWM, and exceptionally students and doctoral students of other faculties with the consent of the majority of members of the Circle as well as Circle Supervisor.

The main goals of the Scientific Circle and their implementation:

The aim of the Scientific Circle of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics is to broaden up the knowledge and interests of students in gynecology and obstetrics and related sciences, conduct research and analysis of results, as well as prepare students for the presentation of collected clinical data at scientific congresses and in medical literature.

The above goals can be implemented by:
- studying specialist literature,
- research in cooperation with other UWM Units and other Universities/Scientific centers in Poland and abroad,
- discussion meetings,
- seminars, papers and scientific papers,
- cooperation with other organizations and scientific circles,
- presentations at scientific conferences,
- promoting the Department, Faculty and University in the country and abroad,
- expanding knowledge in the field of gynecology and obstetrics,
- development of scientific interests and professional qualifications,
- active participation in the everyday life of the university and stimulating an education activity among students.

The main assumptions of the Scientific Circle:
- promotion of knowledge in the field of gynecology and obstetrics,
- organization of workshops and training,
- contact with specialists in various fields related to gynecology and obstetrics,
- organization of scientific seminars,
- carrying out scientific and research works in the perspective of the student's scientific development,
- facilitating students' access to scientific literature,
- preparing students for the organization of research work, analysis of clinical parameters according to the standards in force in the literature
