The Pharmacology and Toxicology Department conducts research financed from internal funds - statutory funds of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn and external funds from the National Science Centre.

The scientific interests of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology include searching for new pathogenic mechanisms of civilization diseases.

The scientific activity of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology focuses on searching for new points of drug action and new therapeutic strategies for diseases of the circulatory system, vascular diseases, hemostasis, respiratory and reproductive systems and neurodegenerative disorders.
