Welcome to the website of the Department of Physiology of the Faculty of Medicine-University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. The Department of Human Physiology was established in 29 of February 2008. This was sequel to the approval from the University Senate. The founder and first Chairman of the Department is professor Mariusz Majewski. The Department facilities are housed in the University Hospital Campus building. These facilities house research and teaching laboratories. At present, we teach medical students Human Physiology. In the process of learning alongside traditional methods are incorporated learning: Problem-Based Learning (PLB) and small discussion group (SDG). Efforts are ongoing to bring about increase in facilities, structure and equipment and in quality of both academic and administrative staff. There are currently 13 members, including two Professors, five Assistant Professors, two Assistant Researchers and three fellows specialist. With the development of human resources, it is planned to create two or three scientific groups, focusing his research on the problems of urology, neurophysiology, cancer molecular biology/physiology.
