The Department of Gynecology, Gynecological Endocrinology and Obstetrics was established by the order of the Rector of UWM (UWM Senate Resolution of May 25, 2012) on June 1, 2012 at the then Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Warmia and Mazury. Currently, the Department operates under the name of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics. The head of the Department is Tomasz Waśniewski MD, PhD
The Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics carries out teaching activities for students of the Faculty of Medicine (Faculty of Medicine) and Emergency Medicine, and from the academic year 2017/2018 also for students of the Faculty of Obstetrics and Nursing (University of Public Health UWM).
Classes are conducted in the Department of Perinatology, Surgical and Oncological Gynecology (Provincial Specialist Hospital in Olsztyn) and the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of the NZOZ, Malarkiewicz i Spółka's.c.
