Visa Requirements

European Union and European Economic Area students do not need any Polish visa to study in Poland. They should apply to the Governor of Warmia and Mazury for a temporary residence permit. This has to be done a short time after arrival in Poland if their stay is longer than 90 days. An EU student can enter Poland with his/her ID document (a valid travel document e.g. passport, or another document certifying his/her identity and citizenship)

Students from outside the EU/EEA need to arrive in Poland with a student’s visa obtained at a Polish Embassy or Consulate in their country of residence. All students have to legalize their stay in Poland by applying for a temporary residence permit. This has to be done a short time after arrival in Poland.
