White Coat Ceremony
The White Coat Ceremony is a ritual in our medical school which marks the transition from basic medical studies to practical clinical studies in hospitals. White coats symbolise the profession they are entering, and students are presented with a special white coat, making this event a real turning point in their medical career. The Lily of the Valley is the symbol of physicians which is why the Dean’s Lily of the Valley Prize is awarded to the top students at our school at this ceremony. Our School of Medicine was the first medical school in Poland that has introduced the White Coat Ceremony that took place at 29th April 2011.
