March 20, 2018 in the presence of Professor Łukasz Szumowski the Minister of Health the special prizes were given to the outstanding representatives of health care in recognition for their every day work with patients, for being guided by impeccable principles as well as their commitment and sensitivity.
 
Vice-Rector for Collegium Medicum, Professor Wojciech Maksymowicz was among the laureates.

  The distinction was also given to:
- Beata Ambroziewicz from the Polish Coalition of Oncological Patients,
- Ewa Błaszczyk, creator of the "Akogo?" Foundation and the "Alarm Clock" Clinic,
- Krzysztof Bukiel MD PhD, chairman of the Professional Doctors National Union,
- Maria Dziura, Director of St. Family Hospital in Warsaw,
- Professor Jacek Jassem from the Medical University of Gdańsk,
- Professor Adam Maciejewski from the Oncology Center in Gliwice,
- Beata Małecka - Libera,  MD PhD, Vice-Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Health Committee,
- Maria Ochman, Chairwoman of the Secretariat for Health Care of “NSZZ Solidarność”,
- Jarosław Pinkas MD PhD, from the Chancellery of the Prime Minister,
- Anna Rulkiewicz, President of the board of LUX MED Ltd.,
- Prfessor Henryk Skarżyński, Director of the World Hearing Center Institute of Physiology and Pathology of Hearing in Kajetany.
